Return of Bodog Fight?

So I was watching the One FC inaugural event and one of the sponors was Bodog Fight. Considering that they've been out of business for two years that is surprising. Are they out of bankrupcy?

That's a good question. They were negative $55 million. It was all advertising for the owner who WAS a billionaire at one point. I have associates who know him very well. He lives the high life in Costa Rica and runs his gambling site; Bodog Sports.

Bodog Music - folded
Bodog Fights - defunct...maybe they're planning a resurgence

That is the only possible reason I can think of for Bodog Fight to be plastered in the cage. It surprised me cause I noticed the insignia in the cage before the fights even started. I wonder if the owner has better plans or if he's going the same path.

Their biggest fight was actually with Fedor vs Matt Lindland in Russia. Bodog and M-1 co-promotion. He certainly had the resources, but everybody should know by now it's a losing venture. Interesting enough Pro-elite is back. I think the small shops isolated to certain states or provinces with a loyal fan base will do well. Second tiered shows have proven they can not survive; Affliction, SF, Dream, etc. If they don't fold then they just get bought out. But for small shows it's not really worth it for them to buy em out cuz they don't have any assets.

Come to think it the UFC has completely taken over a market share in such a short time span which is amazing. Look at Coke and Pepsi...they're still battling after half a century...haha.

Once again another example or a promotion that went under after copromoting with M-1 Global. That promotion is bad luck. But I do agree that the rise of the UFC is an amazing story.
