About time some good news about MMA fighters.

This is pretty over the top but it is good to see reports about MMA fighters doing good instead of beating their wives or robbing a bank.

"Two mixed martial artists from Oregon were in Los Angeles for a grappling tournament, but they ended up using their skills to do much more than win a match. They subdued an armed robber who was holding up the clerk at their hotel. "

Yes this story has been around for a few days and has gained traction in the national news which surprisingly has been 100% positive. I guess these guys were in town for the no gi worlds, poor choice of hotels to rob. Unfortunately this knuckle dragger will probably be released to rob again in just a few months.

It is good to see a positive news story, but the JBJ incident made headlines too.

Still, you better believe that if MMA fighters are robbing banks, commiting fraud or beating wives that it will make headlines. Most TV networks still look at MMA as a fringe sport.

Seems like every month there's an unarmed MMA-trained guy easily overtaking an armed criminal like it was nothing.
