Cung Le UFC136 350k High Pay???

Why did Cung Le get paid 350k in UFC136?

In comparison to other fighters who fought that night, Wanderlei made 200k with no win bonuses. Dan Henderson was paid 250k with no win bonuses and Shogun was paid 165k.

How come Cung Le got paid more than them when Cung Le is making his UFC debut. They all have more experience, skills, UFC fights and more famous than Cung Le.

And just for your info GSP was paid 200k on his fight against Jake Shield, and another 200k for won bonus.

Anderson Silva was paid 200k on his fight against Yushin Okami with no win bonuses.

Cung Le made more money than both GSP and Anderson Silva. For Cung it was 350k to show up for the fight, and I think if he wins he makes additional win bonuses too.

I think its likely that Cung was still on his Strikeforce contract and now that Zuffa owns both they just slide it accross. Due to the fact when Cung signed with SF they were not getting near the exposure of UFC fighters and therefore were not getting the sponsorship money the UFC fighters were getting Strikeforce is/was forced to pay fighters more money to compensate for that loss of income. He just got dealt a great hand and got the best of both worlds because of the way things worked out.
