Yeah, this thing has turned out to be fairly disappointing so far. Fedor getting beaten out, Overeem going to the UFC, a couple of meh fights, and taking forever to reach a conclusion have really taken the shine off of this thing.

It certainly wasn't the kind've outcome that anyone would've thought. Fedor got upset and then a substitute beat him. Overeem bowed out and then things just kept going.

Well don't you think the sale to Zuffa really helped contribute to the disappointment overall of the tournament? When it was started, I don't think Coker anticipated that he'd be selling the company to Zuffa at the time.

I don't think Coker was anticipating it either. One hint is that there are reports that Coker was opposed to the sale to Zuffa. Though I wonder what would've happened if ProElite bought Strikeforce.

Since Strikeforce is going to continue, why not raise the stake for this fight.

MAke it for a Grand prix final AND for the Strikeforce Heavyweight championship.

That's exactly what Josh Barnett was saying. But honestly that would be counter productive towards the winner going into the UFC. The fact of the matter is Strikeforce is becoming a feeder promotion.

What's the point really. The winner of this tournament is going to the UFC anyway.

Yeah, I'm really not sure what the reason is to keep Strikeforce going. The only reason I can see is to cock block Showtime. That way no other MMA promotion can go on there besides M-1 Global.
