Round 1: Fighters feel each other out for the first minute and a half. Bollinger with the clinch and lands several knees but Nam appears unfazed. These two are virtual locks on paper and so far both are very relaxed and respectful of each other’s skill set. Bollinger is throwing the bigger shots but not many of them are landing. Both fighters know the other one can finish, they’re both being a little timid. Bollinger goes for a wild overhand right and Nam ducks it and connects with a big shot. Bollinger goes down and Nam swarms on him but Bollinger is able to escape. Not a really busy round as far as significant strikes so that flurry might have been enough to give Nam the nod in the judges eyes.
Fight Parrot Scores Rd 1: Nam 10-9
Round 2: Round one was a virtual lock and I wouldn’t be surprised one way or the other. Neither fighter can be confident he won the first so they’re starting round two off with more serious striking. Back and forth round again as each fighter has floored the other one but only momentarily. Nam is working those leg kicks really well, Bollinger has got to be getting sore. Neither fighter is just going for broke, hopefully the judges call it one round a piece because this is a virtual lock at this point. Nam is starting to pull away in the last minute and might steal himself a 2-0 advantage. Bollinger goes down throwing a high kick and Nam jumps on him for the takedown. Round ends. The fight is a virtual tie but I think Nam won the second round and the first round was a toss up.
Fight Parrot Scores Rd 2: Nam 10-9
Round 3: Bollinger needs to start working the takedowns to open up his striking. Nam with a couple of great counter strikes. Bollinger isn’t phased with any of Nam’s striking. Neither fighter has cleanly connected. Neither fighter is showing a since of urgency even though the fight is completely up for grabs. They seem content to keep busy with the striking but neither fighter wants to risk getting knocked out for the big reward. Neither fighter has tried a takedown this round and neither fighter seems in danger of getting finished. The crowd is getting restless. Both fighters are very active but neither one is hurting the other. Fight ends with neither fighter showing a sense of urgency. I’m not sure who won that fight, whoever the judges pick you can’t hardly argue.
