Exclamation Takedowns from Double underhooks

Hey i just got my ass whipped by my friends last saturday right before we watched UFC 68 (BTW props to Randy for the shut out) and i want to get a little payback for the next time we all wrestle again. I know alot of the basic wrestling and jujitszu moves and submissions but i was wondering if someone could give me a few tips of some efficient takedowns from the double underhook position (in the clinch), under-over hook positiion (in the clinch), and double overhook position (also in the clinch). Im pretty strong at 68 kilos and a little on the short side and i normally have to use my sprawl and speed to take my friends down but unfortunately it just wasnt working that night. Its not greco - roman wrestling or anything so there basically no boundaries. Help a brother out!

Thanx

Wrong forum, but...

Double underhooks:

This is a simple takedown if you're against a wall.

If you're against the wall, get your opponents back to the wall.

Drop your shoulder into his chest and press hard. His legs should be positioned in between your open legs. Kinda like this:

/\ = your legs

|| - his legs

/||\

Drop your shoulder down to his lower stomach. Make sure to keep the pressure.

Once you're shoulder is in his stomage, grab his legs for a simple double leg take down.

If he's not against a wall, get out of the clinch or go for a double/single if you're fast enough.

If you're in over under, there's a Judo throw I like to do from here. Unfortunantly, I can't really explain it w/o showing you.

one thing that will work, especially if he's not too experienced of a grappler, is from the clinch.. drive forward to stand him up straight and then wrap your leg around his and trip him..

If you have his head down and you are over top of him with the underhooks you can throw them up and go for a full bear hug or double. or you can kick you can swing your leg up in the crotch area and fall back on your butt and swing over the top and then keep the hooks and try and break his neck or gut a guilotine.

the secret of takedowns,
is balance, balance breaking, grips.
if i want to reap or hook you to take you down.. i will pull you toward me as i pull back, you will resist by pulling back, at this time i set up my step, pull your upper body close to mine while i dip my upper body toward yours and sweep with a reap or a hook.
if i choose to do a hip throw i will put pressure on you, your natural reaction is to push back, at this time i pull & set my grips, feet placement, hip & head whip.
you do a wrestler stance on me.. i grip under over with you, step back, shift side, weight on you neck, exposing your back, or you can sink on the neck releasing and shooting in for an ankle pick. i find it harder for me to go with a wrestling stance against a guy that does not settle down into a stance with me.

A common misconception about double underhooks is that they have to be under both of your opponent's arms. They don't.

Try this.

1.)Get one under hook, your left arm underhooking your opponent's right. Then shoot your right arm under his right arm also.
Both of your arms are now underhooking your opponent's right arm.

2.)With both of your feet to the outside of your opponent's right foot, immediately begin to fall backwards and bending yor knees slightly. Your opponent will naturally resist slightly, but then give in and fall forward as it seems advantageous to him since he will be on top.

3.)As soon as your upper back hits the ground pull on his arm and roll to your left hard all the way through until you land on your stomach.

He will roll right to his back. All you have to do is hop on top, and if you know how to wrestle - throw in double grapevines. He's done.

I've used this on guys that were twice my size and knew how to wrestle. It never failed.

The last guy I did it too was a former wrestler who weighed over 200 pounds. I weighed 145.

He challenged me. The match lasted under 30 seconds. It consisted solely of the technique I outlined above.

If it wasn't for that, he probably w0ould have beaten me with his weight. That move makes the weight a non factor. Your opponent feels confident because it appears as if you are falling and he will be able to get on top.

Try it and let me know if it works. If it doesn't, I'll come with you when you watch the next PPV and we'll tag team against your friends so I can prove it works. ;-)
