I saw one person does pad work with focus mitts untill he starts sweating. This warms you up. Also do stretching that mimics fighting techniques so your muscles stretch the right way. Jump roping is good also.

Don't be affraid to get a good warmup in. Some wrestlers lose up to a pound in their warmup. I read that in an article by some olimpic wrestler.

Warm Up(whether running, pad work, skipping or all or just something that gets you warmed up.

you work out like your going to fight, i like to get the blood flowing before i try to strech, i like to get a sweat going before i really try to open up.
i have competed before without streaching first and it really got me winded, when i was younger i could do this, but now i need to warm up to preform to my peak.

my judo sensei said his venti coffee is his old school way of warming up.

the under over hook thing your speaking of is called pummeling, this is a drill used in clinch fighting to break a dominate stand up grappling position and get your own dominate clinch, very important part of the game for nogi

The exercise they do is called pumbling, its a little warm up to get into the mode to put you're underhooks in during a fight.
