I wrestle in delawere. The state is not an excellent wrestling state but im OK. Not great. I missed the confrence tournment because of some family issues but i would have probably made it to states. We do got some decent wrestlers in delawere though. You ever heard of the beast of the east tournament. We did pretty good in that and had a champion in like 140 i think.
You can't. all you can do, like someone said earlyer, is gat your conditioning up. In wrestling everything is a move you have to learn so its impossible withought a coach.
There are books and videos you can buy but im wiht everyone else. Wrestling is something just like other arts that must be learned through experience. It takes three to spar. the two guys going at it and one to make sure they are doing it right and not hurting themselves. I would say if you want some general knowledege until you can find a coach try buying a dvd or book off of a website like wrestlingone.com
Somebody at your gym will probably know somebody who does a wrestling class just ask around then if you don't find anybody post a poster saying Needs wrestling class; will pay for lessons too or something along those lines at the gym with a number to contact you . If you can't find a wrestling place in your city go find a martial arts place they will teach you the basis of wrestling considering I don't think you want to be a college wrestler or a Olympic wrestler. Martial arts is probably better than the wrestling academy if you wanna be a MMA fighter.
