Did he threaten to spit a loogie in your face when he was holding you down? If he could hold down your arms that easily... I doubt any of the escapes suggested on here would do you any good. I suggest you either spar with people who aren't this much stronger than you, or get stronger.

Strength is very important in... bjj? I hope that's not what you're talking about, because it's not at all. The whole point of brazilian jiu jitsu is to be able to beat a stronger opponent with superior technique and position.

Next time I sparred with him, that's what I did. Followed by an elbow escape, followed by an armbar from guard.
As for the strength thing, I'm working on that... But I seriously doubt that I'll be able to match the strength of someone who outweighs me by 60 or so pounds.

Does it work if you roll to the side a bit so you're almost giving your back then like.....forward roll with him on your back? If he's not holding on you come out the back.

If he's pinning your hands down, you can't even roll to the side. But even then, I'd still need to buck to create the space to do that. And if I've bucked, I might as well shrimp and go for an elbow escape. If I risk my back and try to roll, its likely that even a moderately capable opponent would sink in some hooks and maintain control.

You seriously want me to believe you went from being completely dominated by a guy, to tapping him.... all from a tip off a web forum?

Rofl, no. I sparred with this guy months ago, and he beat me. Then, having NOT read this particular thread during that time WHILE continueing my training in Judo and Submission Grappling, I improved enough to beat him the next time. Then weeks after beating him, I checked back on this thread since I saw its reemergence.
It seems that you've kind of misunderstood something or another. =P
