I just pulled off a gogo the other day from an armbar. I was happy cuz I didnt think it would work, and the guy sure didnt know I knew how to do it. I was cheesing on the inside. I still never got a successful omo, that will be my best sub!

I get a fair share of Omoplatas when I roll. I just seem to always look for them. The nicest sub, however, is a toe hold executed after my opponent fell to his stomach while still in my x-guard. It was so... effortless. Arm in guillotines and brabo chokes are other nice subs I like to use/go for. Another really cool move is the inverted armbar from reverse triangle. That one was nice, when I nailed it once in practise.

One day, I hope to land a gogo.

The best submission I got was a simple triangle, switched into an armbar. I think when you think of your "best" submission, I think it should be one that came without too much effort, and was effective.

With gi on my favorite I have done was the slingshot...it is pretty easy but I think it looks cool

No-gi I don't submit a lot of people I mainly just sweep them but I would say my best with no-gi is an omoplata just because it is pretty hard to do no-gi

That's funny, man. I was just teaching this set-up in the kids class today. It's a great move if you handle it.

Post more videos when you compete, they're interesting.

A little advice, though. When you're going for that Americana, pin your elbows to the ground and make sure his elbow doesn't point up. Everybody does that and it's a ridiculous way to do an americana. I let guys mount me in training sometimes just to show them that they are doing their Americanas and kimuras wrong, because I have flexible shoulders and, if my elbow gets pointed up, you cannot finish the move on me.

Anyway, ground your elbows on the mat, keep his elbow flat, drop your lower hip (which I think you did, but I'm just going to mention to make sure) and use the wrist like a paintbrush.

Not a terrible match. You clearly outclassed your opponent.

Thanks man.

I had no intention of finishing it though, i even kept my arm behind his head and made space for him to stick his arm into defend.

i was so jittery at the time, all i see when i watch the vid now is mistakes, bothers me.

Wicked Triangle on several occasions, and an Octopus on two different occasions
