Question far and good or close and not so good

I live in san bernardino ca and want to train BJJ, the ony gym i can find is about 38mi away and i went and checked it out and everyone was really nice but the distance and gas is an issue.

there is a closer MMA gym that offers muay thai, grappling, and submission wrestling..the students there all kinda had an ego or thought they were tito ortiz.

both is pretty much the same price..what do you guys think?

first post by the way, thanks

by the way

the teachers at both schools seemed pretty nice.

at the bjj school it was more personal

and at the mma school there were alot of students in the classes so not so personal.

i say go with what will make you happier... better training inspite of the distance vs average training with a bunch of guys with egos...

when i first started i chose between really cheap, quality training 20 miles from me and really expensive (three times the cost of the other one) with quality training at 2 miles away.. i chose the one closer to me since it will help with me being motivated to go and not have excuses....

i have been very happy with my choice.

If you want to go into MMA go to the MMA school.
Egos like that push me to train harder and shut them up.

If you want to just do BJJ then go to the BJJ school.

38 miles is alot of gas too.
