Greco-Roman wrestling vs Freestyle wrestling

Which transitions better to MMA? I know we have a lot of Greco-Roman guys like Couture, Lindland, Henderson etc. but I have always thought of Greco vs Freestyle as being like Boxing vs Muay thai/kickboxing, as you are limiting yourself in your training. By which I mean attacks below the waist are not allowed in Greco.

The only reason I am putting this out there is because of Rogan saying he feels Greco is the best wrestling style to use in MMA, personally I am not sure.

Attacks aren't allowed below the waist in competition though, they still train leg sweeps and trips which ARE legal in MMA and very helpful. I think both transition great into MMA, though. I just like the clinch game from Roman Greco a bit more

I have only a very limited experience in freestyle, and I have never done Greco so I am ignorant of their training, I always presumed that they only practice what they use in competition though.
