first mma class

had my first mma class last night and learned how to do take downs..it was a little awkward but at the end thought i was doing ok. im addicted lol

im sure its normal, but my left knee is sore from the take downs,(im right handed so its the knee that goes into the mat) is there anything i can do to help it, or will my body get used to it?
and what about mat burns on my toes?

thanks

There's probably some sort of lotion you can put to help stop your knee rubbing against the matt so bad. Like vasceline or something. But I guess you wouldn't wanna grease the mats up.
