Technique for getting caught in mount
Yesterday, me and my friend were rolling, and he got in mount a few times, as did I. The only way in know how to get someone off you if they're in mount, is to buck and sweep on of their arms. It worked for a while, but eventually he realized this and everytime i tryed to buck him off he would submit me by armbar. I really need to expand my knowledge, ive only been doing mma since june. So if anyone has any advice or good techniques for this position( I know its pretty much the worst position to be in in mma) please help me out. THANKS

When the guy is already mounted on you...you can get in a triangle choke.....I find that either very impressive....or (morelikely) very unlikely.
Besides bucking, there is a "shrimping drill" lay on your back and curl at your waist to touch your toes, without leaving the ground. So that you look like a shrimp. Thats a way to try and escape guard and mount. Or if you are fast enough, or brave enough. Give your oppent your back, and slip out the backdoor in between his legs before the get there hooks in. A few people in the UFC and Pride do this. But you have to be able to hand wrestle very well(to avoid rear naked chokes). You be very quick to shoot out.
Also sweeps work great, but you have to feel your opp. weight and be able to tip the on way or another. then roll with them, and youll either land in their guard or mounting them, or side control. It depends on the skill lvl of your opp.

If you can't pull an "Upa" escape by bridging out and to the side to roll your opponent because you're getting caught in an armbar, you might be pulling the escape wrong. If the person on top is riding you well enough to avoid the Upa, then pull an Elbow escape to put your opponent in guard or half-gaurd.
If you're looking to sweep, I would definitely encourage you to start your sweep from the half-gaurd. This is actually a real good position to sweep from, and not to many people work off their back that way. If you can't pull the sweep from half-gaurd, then you should still be able to create anough space to pull the elbow escape again and pull full gaurd.
If you want a step by step, just ask and I'll try to respond in a timely manner.

The bridge escape is very effective, but I think that's what you were talking about above. Really, other than that you have to strike you way out or power your way into your opponent's full guard (that one's not popular for a reason)

yeah i was also thinking to myself how this is impossible.
You must be thinking of guard of coarse.
Another sweep from full mount is to sit up and reach over like your going for a kimura but instead use your left arm to grab his left elbow(which will be on your right side, you can do this either way so just reverse my instructions)
Now that you have a good grip you almost want to the same "bucking" action but you want to really drive your hip against theirs and at the same time using the arm to pull them down.
If all goes well you will land in their gaurd, not quite a dominant position but certenly better then being mounted.
its so hard to explain without pics so i hope that made sense.

ok well another way would be to overhook their arm (lets use the left arm) you need to have t ight overhook high on their arm like right at the armpit, then grab the inside of their left leg (will be on your right) and while pulling down on the arm you want to almost throw the leg over your shoulder.
Once again you will most likly land in their gaurd.

You want to watch out with that sweep though. It is a good way to make yourself bait for a triangle choke if the person is familiar with what you are doing. I know this from personal experience (I've been on both sides of that scenario).
