kimura is easy to apply i cach people with it all the time slicers hurt leg locks hurt horribly we trained a leg lock in class once and just putting the smallest amount of force will make someone tapp with conviction and neck cranks hurt pretty bad especially after you can feel them for about a week if applied right

Kimuras and Knee bars suck, especially if you have a bad knee like me. I tap pretty fast when it comes to those two.

Is there a video somewhere where I can see how a leg lock is applied step-by-step so I can visualize what you are talking about? Or can you describe it in words, step-by-step how you would go about executing this technique? See, the thing is, my formal training is in Kyokyushinkai Karate,I really have no jiu-jitsu or grappling experience whatsoever, and I am beginning to think that this is a weakness in my background that I have to address and rectify.
And by the way, thanx for a great answer!

Yours truly,Ferdelance

Also, what is a neck crank and how is it applied? Is there a video somewhere where I can follow the step-by-step application? Or can you describe it to me in words?

I honestly hate neck cranks, and Armbars if applied correctly can hurt alot.

Here is a brief article by Bas Rutten on neck cranks and chokes. http://www.mixedmartialarts.com/medi...ok2_Chokes.pdf

Chokes don't hurt...at all. They just frustrate the hell out of me when I can't escape it.

Anyway the worst for me is any type of armlock. My god those things are brutal when executed right. My friend and I were sparring and he got me in a double shoulder lock kinda hold. He even had body scissors around me so I couldn't escape it. After much struggling I still wouldn't tap out so my arms went numb. He let me go because we were both exhausted, but the point is he made my arms numb with a very good armlock.

The achilles lock absolutely kills me. Otherwise, I'm also pretty flexible at the shoulders, so kimuras hardly phase me. Knee bars just scare the crap outta me. I tap even before it hurts.

I have looked up some Submission 101 videos on youtube and have found many, but the most painful I have seen is called Black Out.

Basically you lock your hands around there neck on the ground. You put your arms around your knees and roll the person so you knees are near their throat. Look it up on youtube. It is sick.
