Which are the most painful submission holds?

Which are the most painful submission holds and why?
How would you rank them, from your own experience?
If you are going for the submission, which would be your choice?
As always,

I've always thought shoulder locks were really painful. So are leglocks, but they aren't as common.

Hey that's great guys. But you gotta help me out here.I only took a rudimentary judo course at the local YMCA and about a year and a half of Kyokushinkai Karate, so I find that I am rather unfamiliar with your terminology.
What is a kimura?
What is a heelhook?
What is a can opener?
An armbar I am familiar with, but the others......
Also,Which of the submission holds is easiest to apply to an opponent? Which do you find is the hardest or requires the greatest skill? And which is hardest to defend against?
Sincerely,Ferdelance

Kimura: www.lockflow.com

Heel hook: www.lockflow.com

For the can opener, I think Tank Abbott submitted Steve Jennum or Sam Adkins with that hold in the early UFCs, but you can't find them on YouTube because Dana won't let them show even the really old fights there. But you can try to find those fights and look for yourself.
