Its amazing how much technique is involved in both Western Boxing and Thai Boxing. Also its a task integrating them both into MMA. For example the fight posture for boxing is different than lets say Thai Boxing. Thai Boxing has the most destructive kicks but in terms of power punching and the position of your hands for defense Western boxing has no equals.
Sove, I use to train at City boxing back when Dean Lister and brandon vera were there. It's a good place, keep it up dude and tell us how all your matches go.
Absolutely. I love it at City Boxing. The downtown location isn't the prettiest club in San Diego, but that's part of its charm. It looks like a real training facility and not a cardio factory that happens to use boxing instead of step aerobics. There are a bunch of places in San Diego like that.
Sure, here's the link to mine. We aren't a very big school, but our higher ranking students that do compete (Vernie Inocencio, Jeremy Stephens, Mark Tse, etc.) dominate most of the tournaments they compete in. We finished one or two in every non-white belt division we competed at in the US Open.
