School info

Hey guys I just thought this would be a cool topic. I train in BJJ three times a week and in my spare time I like looking at other schools websites. Its interesting to look at the the different schools, pictures of their gyms, instructers and so on. I live in Denver CO and just wanted to share my schools website and the other 2 or 3 best schools websites. If anyone has links for their schools post them It would be cool to see them.

1) http://www.zinganobjj.com/ My school
2) http://www.highaltitudema.com/
3) http://www.grapplers-edge.com/
4) http://www.tskofightclub.com/

and two websites of Sunbmission Tournaments Lots of pictures
1) http://www.starzworld.com/Pancrase_USA.htm
2) http://www.rmbjjf.com/

Hope some of you are interested and It would be cool if you have some websites as well.

I dont know if the High Altitudes site is working, but that is a great school. Nate Marquart runs that one.

I started training 4 months ago. I've been in one GI-JJ competition. Lost 2-0. I'm planning on doing as many tournaments as possible once Spring hits. Come January, I'll be focusing my training for Pankration tournaments, but I'll do grappling as well. My ultimate goal for next year is to get an MMA fight under my belt, but I'm not going to do it unless the instructors at the gym tell me I'm ready.

Sove what weight class do you compete in? The lowest I can drop for a tourney is 165. I is very good to do tournaments before starting your amatuer career in mma. Do you do any stand up. I try to get in one day of boxing and one day of Thai Boxing on top of BJJ. The striking I do at another school.

Sove how many MMA organizations (promotions) are there in san diego. The main one in denver are rocky mountain bad boyz and Ring of Fire. Both are cool but ROF is really nice. They featured it in one of the tapout shows when Cowboy Cerrone fought.

Lately I haven't going to boxing or KB classes. I'm finishing up my last semester of school on December 19, so my plan is to kick in with at least 2 KB/boxing classes a week on top of my JJ classes while I study for the Bar exam. Also, a couple of guys at the gym and I are getting MMA practice gloves. Fridays and Saturdays are no-gi JJ/wrestling days at the gym, and our instructor is going to let us to strike... basically making them MMA class.

I'm not sure about that... It doesn't seem like there are many, because our guys are always traveling to Nevada and Utah for their fights. The only one I've been to is Total Combat, but I don't think it's exclusively a San Diego promotion.
