i was just wondering what would you do as a take down when you cant wrap your arms around him?

Double leg him, or grab one leg and kick the other one out. That's the only thing I can think of off the top of my head.
I might also try flying submissions, but not it a real fight.

This is where inside/outside sweeps become real handy... Same with single-leg takedowns. When I get home tonight, I'll try to go in-depth on it.
