Mat slams aren't actually all that hard if you have the strength. All you need is good speed and an above average grip. I tried to do it on a heavier opponent of mine while we were wrestling during gym class and I actually got it. I tried to go all pro wrestling and attemp a German suplex, but I realized it would've been too risky.
