I pick Rickson. And while I love ripping on him and joking about how crazy his fans are his BJJ is really scary.

I mean Paulo Filho said that he has trained with the best guys Carlson Gracie trained and none of them even compared to Rickson.

I mean laugh all you want abou how crazy some of Ricksons stories are he competed in all different disciplines and dominated them all.

Of anyone that knows the origin of BJJ i would have to go with Rolls Gracie.

Before his accidental death he was considered by many to be the greatest BJJ practitioner. As he was the teacher of Rickson Gracie..

But since he is not on this list I'm going to pick Rickson.

Rolls and his Famous 5 were very important in the history of BJJ. But I wouldn't say Rolls wasn't the greatest BJJ fighter of all time he didn't live long enough.

BTW I will say I think if there was a tournament of all these guys in their primes I think I would pick Roger Gracie or Xande Ribero.

See im not sure if a tournament i woudl have to say Royler Gracie. Rickson always says that Royler is by far one of the best and his resume speaks for itself.

Watch Eddie vs Royler (birth of 10th planet)

Marcelo Garcia has my vote. Look up his ADCC record and watch some of his videos...

Yea I think Eddie Bravo should've been on this poll. Now I know his grappling record isn't great but he changed the face of BJJ and MMA grappling in a huge way.

I got the impression this poll was referring to Gi BJJ. I could be wrong though. If it is with a gi, then Eddie Bravo would probably be insulted at you mentioning him.

Yea but when it says Greatest Jiu Jitsu fighter I think Bravo deserves credit because he changed BJJ a ton and redefined a lot of things in BJJ.

But he didn't change Gi BJJ. He moved away from it.

I understand but it doesn't say GI BJJ it says BJJ. He changed BJJ to the point where by putting greatest Jiu Jitsu fighter of all time that you need to put either gi or no gi.
