I believe that Hughes is a good grappler, but definetly have to go with Emelianko as probably the best of today.

Yeah, for his size Fedor has very good technical skills. I think that imitating any one fighter may not be the best idea. Try to incorporate multiple fighters for different reasons.

Antonio Rodrigo Nogueira and Matt Hughes are the best. Runner up is Fedor Emelianenko. And if you want to go old school it was Royce Gracie but not anymore due to the evolution of the game since he left.

Why limit yourself to one fighters style. Combine many different styles and make your own. You need your own style, because what works for one may not work for you...

Hmm he does have a point part of the reason I mentioned more then one fighter. but yea you can learn from someone but you need to make it your own or it will not work for you and don't expect the same moves to work the same against everyone every situation is different. leran how to do differentvariations of the same move

My Favourite Grappler would have to be Nog. Other Top Pics would be Randy Couture because he is an intensly strong wrestler. Best ground and pound would have to be Fedor by a long shot.

just click on points under our avatar.

I was watching Abbott/Mir, the one where Mir crushes tank with that ankle lock and I remembered the best grappler in the UFC today. No, not Frank Mir, friggin Andrei Arlovski!

I know that I sound crazy, but hear me out for a minute. Andrei has never lost a fight on the ground, his 4 losses have all been TKOs. He only has three submissions in his carreer, but those submissions have been great. He's a Sambo master, but he can do armbars and chokes. He doesn't like to grapple, but he's proven that he's good at it.

My pick: Fedor... remember the fight against Rendleman...after that big slam, when Fedor decided that he was tired to be on his back, rolled over..ever so gently to finish it with a very gracefull arm lock... WOW!!!!
