The Truck

I have been reading Eddie Bravo's "Mastering the Twister" book and I am intrigued by the "Truck" position he uses.

Does anyone on here use the Truck position in grappling or MMA competitions and if so do you find it effective?

It seems like the position would be difficult to maintain on someone if they thrash about a lot.

Thoughts?

I have by no means mastered the truck, but the two times I've actually got there I immediately finished with a calf crank. It's a dead zone: tons of submissions, few escapes. Worth learning IMO.

If you have strong legs and a strong core, it's usually pretty easy to establish control. Personally, I tend to move past the truck and go on to the twister.

Still, the truck can work if you get the fundamentals down.
