This site here has a listing of BJJ teachers and students. If you find an instructor, you should be able to find them on this site and check to see if they are legit (especially if they claim to be training under someone for a long time). That would be the first thing to check out.

It doesn't matter if you agree or disagree... As long as I don't bore you and I spark a moment of thought, my goal is achieved.

Yeah, if their last name is Gracie they tend to be pretty good. Otherwise, just observing their effectiveness is good. It's not always for sure, but it works for most people.

Choosing a BJJ Dojo/Teacher isn't too different from choosing a Dojo for any Traditional MA. Since the BJJ community is still rather tightly-knit, www.bjj.org is always available if your need to see if someone is legit. Heck, I found the name of the guy I used to roll with a few years back...

I should've taken more advantage of that when I did.

Thanks Ong.

I know that this might be getting redundant, but does anybody have any more questions?

I like BJJ.org, but it does have a kind of onesided approach that the Gracie's had at the early UFCs. BJJ is not the only answer.
