Combat Sambo??

Does anyone have any first hand knowlege of combat sambo? I think I may have found a place near where I live that teaches it. I know Fedor and AA have a sambo background but I'm not all that convinced its that great. I have seen a few sambo videos on the net and I'm not all that impressed. I've been doing BJJ for a little while now and am thinking about amature MMA in a year or so. Is Combat Sambo a good skillset to have for MMA? How will it complement my BJJ?

i would think muay thai or kickboxing would be better suited for you. if you take sambo and train long enough im sure you will find some things that could transition to mma.

I would try to find a place to find wrestling to balance out BJJ, I don't know much about Sambo, but call and ask about it, see if it teaches solid takedowns, a good base, and top control, if it does that + some slick submissions it would be great, I believe it has some striking as well.

I heartily accept the motto, "That government is best which governs least"; and I should like to see it acted up to more rapidly and systematically.
