I've seeen this before, it's just like Aikido in that it looks cool and none of it would work on a non-cooperating opponenent.

Also I hate when people put Quantam in front of stuff for no reason.

lawl totally unpractical

neat but with a willing participant you can do anything you want, hell with a few you could have an orgy

Yeah, I don't see any real value in it past getting people to subscribe to your academy. Still pretty darn slick.

if someone pulled something like that in an MMA fight and it worked, they'd develop such a bandwagon following... until the next fight when they couldn't pull it off again.

still cool though. I'd love to see that applied into a movie scene or something.

There is a bunch of that on campus up here. The guy that has a black belt in it trains with us once a week at BJJ and he's a terrible blue belt.

Ummmm... yeah. I pretty much agree that Quantum is a broken system.

Corbell's actually not a bad competitor. I have a friend who trains with him in Santa Cruz, so I've met the guy a few times.

Quantum isn't Aikido, entirely. Almost all of the Aikido techniques are in there, but he likes to use some wrestling and some of his really, really bad sambo.

Having rolled with the guy, I can say that he doesn't hit very hard and his submission game is questionable, at best. Still, I guess he's successful, so whatever.

I agree it looks pretty damn sweet and would look awesome in a movie fight scene, but overall, impractical. Try that shit in a real match and you'll get

Be pretty sweet to be able to do some of that stuff though.

About the only thing it's good for is showing off
