triangles, kimuras, armbars in practice. never an americana although i did drill it, against a guy who was admittedly stronger than me. in actual combat, only armbars from the top. im a better wrestler than guard player.

Everybody good, plenty of slaves for my robot colony?

I took Judo growing up, with no subs, and guys twice my size flipped me around, abused me, and picked on me for years (not being a bitch, this was real negativity on their part). I took a little bit of BJJ and really started working out, watching as many instructionals as I could over and over. About 6 months or so later I went back and we had a submission match immediately, he went for a leglock figuring I would tap, and when he postured up, I triangled him with an arm in. When he saw I also had the straight armbar ready to go, he tapped. I was 19, he was 26, and that was the day I really started to feel good about myself, sorry if I shared too much, but that was the sub I would never forget.

Bully beatdown for real

Thats cool, almost everybody remembers their best sub or one of those nights training and tapping everyone out, just having a phenominal night. I also remember the torcher nights when my teacher would throw 8 guys one after the other non stop in to subwrestle me one after the other and just being soo tired I could hardly defend against anything, good times

I always wanted to pull one of those off, I had the positioning I needed and everything was a go and then I realized he was to thick of a person and my arms came up short, I wouldve had it. Oh well at least I still had a good position

One night during while me and my buddy got done training we hung around and talked with our instructors a bit, one of them told us to start rollin so we did. It was in the summer and was really hot, no air conditioning or nothing. My buddy was about 20 pounds heavier than me and definetly stronger. We must have grappled over 25 minutes the whole time we were going at it. We were both in and out of submissons and shooting for take downs, sweeping and reversing eachother. If someone got into mount they were reversed or swept. It was really intense. I did a couple of trips and ended up on top but got reversed. We made our way back to the feet when i pressed him up against the cage and was about to pick him up when he leaned forward and i lost my balance and landed on the back of my head, i was rocked but i managed to pull gaurd. he tried to pass by pushing my leg so i opend my right leg pushed his arm through exploeded upwards and and locked in a triangle. He wasnt tapping so i managed to set in an armbar with it and he tapped. We were both dead tired at the end.
