Breaking down an opponent when he's in your guard???

Hi. I was wondering how do you breakdown an opponent thats in your guard when he's really stiff and strong. What if you face someone who's really strong and they wont let you tie up their arms or anything like that. I grappled with someone like this. Could be my mistake of not staying on him and wearing him out but let me know. Thanks.

you could try rubber guard, and if ur using a gi, put your hand in the opposite collar

I weight 154, an di wrestle(BJJ) my friend who is 210.

It's tough, but since they are wider then you, use the flexiblity you have.

[Try] Also, use your legs, if they are using there body weight to lay on you, trying to ware you down, shove your knee's up so you don't waste your arms out. if they throw the legs out of the way, roll with it. Try to be faster (Thinking wise).

Try getting your Butterfly guard working, get one hook in and lift his leg up and sweep him, sounds like he is leaving enough space to shrimp and get one in.

rubber guard or head control make him push off you the more he does the faster he'll gas...thats if you want to stay on your back
