Wrestling because they have well rounded takedowns and all you have to do is rein down punches from on top

I'd say freestyle wrestling because it will allow a fighter to adapt to the fight of the other guy.

The biggest Sambo fighter right now is Andrei Arlovski. JJJ fighters usually combine it with something else, but some of the big name fighters who use JJJ are guys like Hayato Sakurai and Kazushi Sakuraba.

JointManipulator has a little shameless behaviour in the past
Although the bulk my personal background is Freestyle Wrestling (Some BJJ, Kenpo, and lots of Greco-Roman tourneys), I have to say BJJ for one simple reason: BJJ is by far the discipline that is most comfortable fighting from one's back. This is huge. Wrestlers, despite endless hours of MMA training, still occasionally suffer from the wrestling stigma when they are on their backs. They've been taught for years that this is a bad place to be, and it takes an immense amount of "deprogramming" for a wrestler to acquire a taste for fighting from their back.

Yeah, the only style that addresses fighting agressively from your back is really BJJ, but JJJ and Sambo can be used just as effectively.

BJJ teaches the closed guard and different forms of the guard, which is one of the biggest things that wrestling lacks in MMA.

Well, I still think that JJJ is the best overall, but there is no HUGE fighters that use it, so no one recgonizes it as the best style. It's a shame really.
