Yes,, I know I lost. I am a boxer/kick boxer not a wrestler. I am about to start taking BJJ classes next month to supplement my boxing and muay thai. I am mostly a striker. I don't have any talent or skill for grapping. I am the person in the red and I am fifteen and I weight 148 pounds. The person I am going against is also 15 and he weighs 200 pounds. He is in my boxing class but he is on the wrestling team at his school. Any tips for beating him next time?
my first tip is to keep your head above his arm level. go chest to chest with him and only drop down if his arms arent over your head. 2nd, just relax when your standing or when you get taken down. Trying to muscle you way out of moves instead of using technique is just a hugeeee waste of energy. But learning the technique is also crucial for that part. other than that, work on your sprawl, you have a lot of work to do but just dont give up and youll learn quickly
