the spelling of Jiu-jitsu usually refers to brazilian jiu-jitsu while Jujutsu and Jujitsu both typically refer to the Japanese/traditional arts.
I haven't trained in Danzan Ryu, but all I know is it is a recent development in Jujutsu coming out of Hawaii. The place I wanted to take Judo at would've made me take 3 months of Danzan Ryu Jujutsu before they would even let me get on the mat and learn Judo. That isn't possible for me now (I'm away at school and I'd want to take it during the summer, so my whole summer would be jujutsu and I'd have to wait until winter to train in Judo.
