Ouch!

Pulled a muscle in my neck while rolling. The muscle along the sides of my vertabrae (in between my shoulder blades). Was rolling and kept my head strait while rolling backwards, I should have cocked my head to either side and rolled off my shoulder like I was taught =(.

What excersize can I do to strengthen those mucsles?
I saw a blue belt do this kind of push up with his head. He would lay on his back raise his knees and push off with the back of his head.

Any one with any experience with some thing like this?

Any advice would help a bunch, thanks...

Well dude at the start of our warm ups we put weight on our necks first you lie on your knees forearms on the floor and lie on the top of your head and roll it around and as your neck gets stronger you can take the forearms away

Just make sure that you never directly stack your head on the mat with direct, vertical downward pressure because it can compress and rupture your neck vertebrae. (it's called axial loading in medical jargon.) I f**ked myself up bad doing that and had to have neck surgery
