Knee support

Having done stand up and striking martial arts for almost a decade about 8 months ago i started BJJ to try and make my training a bit more well rounded.
A BIG problem i have is that i have blown out my right knee twice in my life and dislocated it a further 2 times - which makes it a bit fragile to say the least.
Obviously flexibility in the knees is something key to a lot of BJJ moves so was wondering if anyone knew the best knee supports for BJJ? Also does anyone know if knee supports are permitted in all MMA competition and No-Gi events? Cheers for any help!

I use a soft brace (like a sleeve, basically) to keep my patella in place when it starts acting up and I find that works really well and doesn't inhibit motion.

The reality is that, realistically, the techniques that require a lot of knee flexibility are not going to work for you. Things like basic omoplatas and gogoplatas, which aren't absolutely dependent on knee flexibility but do usually engage it in practice, are definitely not going to be go-to moves for you.

Don't let that be discouraging, though. Everyone plays to their body type and to their injury history. You'll just develop a game that focuses on something other than flexing in the knees.

I don't forsee any issues with soft supports. It's the big, bulky ones that can cause problems. Those are often banned. But the sleeves are fine. I've never seen any issues with those.
