in wrestling i like to keep my distance and find an angle and shoot, turn the corner, and finish. in a fight i prefer to parry a jab, cross, etc. then shoot wne they least expect it.

In a real fight, thе opponent іѕ nοt willing tο hеlр уου out tο ехесυtе thе double leg takedown реrfесtlу, doing аll thе counter moves required tο apply thе takedown. In reality, lots οf thе attempts dο nοt succeed аnd thе attacker mіght eat a gοοd knee іn thе face іn reward.

Tie up first preferably the double under hook. I have never been fast with the shoot even though out my high school wrestling career. Always tried to start with some type of clinch before doing any type of throws.

Then when the opportunity comes i drop my knee between his legs grab the legs.

the finish i very depending on the situation. The key i have found is to be able to roll with it and adapt to each individual situation. if he is pulling back at the upper body i stand up and pull his legs back then drop on top. if he attempts a sprawl i blast diagonally forward and up lifting. If he his pushing and stepping i blast diagonally to the forward and left or right and pushing sweeping or pulling his legs to the left or right then turn once his feet are in the air and he is falling I turn back into him and take the top position.

Seems like all the collegiate wrestlers in MMA generally use the same solid double leg technique; but GSP's double legs, for example, aren't textbook (he rarely goes to a knee, his penetration step isn't that deep, his head is usually in the middle instead of the side, and he bends over at the waist instead of going in with head up and a flat back), but it f**king works in MMA!

Would like to hear a wrestlers take on if GSP's look unorthodox to them, but why they think he can take down NCAA DI wrestlers with them.
