Hello

My first name is William. I was born and raised in Pierre, South Dakota. I recently moved to the Dallas/Fort Worth area in Texas. I am interested in starting MMA, but have no idea where to begin. I am 21. My pain threshold is rather high so I figure I'd be good at it, plus it would be a good way it get back in shape. I would love to try my hands in a novice tournament if one is close by. Normally I am a laid back guy. I am also dyslexic.

Welcome. Look up the nearest gyms in your area and join one of them i guess.

Thanks, if any of them are free I can. My job currently sucks. I can't really get a better job because I can't fill out the applications. My dyslexia gets in the way. I did recently go to a program that might be able to help me. Spell and grammar checks are my saving grace for writing...

You don't have any family or friends that can fill out applications for you? Alot of applications are available online.

Sadly no, my family rarely does anything with me, hence why I moved away from them, and my friends don't have the time. I'm trying out this DARS program, gonna see if that can help.

Are you on the Dallas or ft. Worth?
I'm in Ft.Worth myself but I know of places on both sides of DFW.
I don't know of any free ones though.

Your friends don't have 30 minutes to help you fill out applications online? I suggest you find better friends. Express Personnel is a national organization and I know they have an office in Dallas. They are a good place to go to get a new job. There are plenty of other business like them as well. Seems like it would be a great option for you and you situation.

You can sign up to a website but not a gym.
