My advice: Walk away.
There's no sense in getting in fights with no rules, no medical staff, and only fighting for "respect". You want respect, be the bigger man and don't fight. Too many things could go wrong, someone could get hurt, go to jail, etc. There's nothing smart about street fighting.
I'd say get your butt in the gym, train, and fight a real fight in MMA. You seem to like it, so why not?
I hope you'll be smart and fight the real way...as a sport.
Anyway, good luck making a decision. Welcome to the Forum and feel free to ask any questions. Enjoy your stay man.

I gotta agree with kds13, plus eventually you may pick a fight with someone who actually knows how to fight and you can severely hurt.
Anyways, Welcome to the forum.

To be honest, I wasn't very impressed with your intro... seemed like you are just some kid trying to brag about how you are so good at fighting.

As you may of noticed, most of the regulars on the forum are pretty much against street fighting, so you won't find advice here for it outside of don't fight.

First of all, welcome to the forum. As you know this is a MMA forum and street fighting is never a good topic. The funny thing is we never get anyone in here that says they lose, weird huh. So how old are you if 17 is out of your age range. It sounds to me like you have a LOT of growing up to do. I thought you were a lot older because I thought you were talking about fighting in a tournament. You were talking about how you fought someone in your age group and someone in the "audience" blah blah blah. Let me guess, your 12 right. I'm not trying to be a jerk, but we've had a lot of younger members come on here that never seem to work out. I hope you are the exception. Who are your favorite MMA fighters, who do you see winning some upcoming matches. Lets get to know ya a little better.
As for your question, yeah, walk away unless you get attacked first. I'm still trying to figure out how the fight stopped anyways because of a hand injury. Last time I checked high school fights normally didn't end till someone didn't want to get back up or someone was pulled away.
