Hello everyone
Hey everyone, im a 18 year old guy from Chile, South America. my primary language is spanish so you may have to bear with my english at times.
I've recently gotten into MMA, been lurking the forums for a while now and i've decided to join in.
Here's my story.
I'm a longlife ProWrestling fan, a while ago one of the sites i read for ProWrestling news started covering MMA, with the current decline of mainstream prowrestling (WWE) i had already branched out into independent prowrestling, most specifically Ring of Honor a company that's going a good job portraying prowrestling not as Sports Entertainment but as an Entertaining Sport, the action there was a lot more fast paced and intense which really got me thinking into MMA. So i started reading the MMA news at the Prowrestling newsite and i stumbled across a review of UFC 76, it was written by a guy who had never seen MMA before and the review really sold me into the PPV, i catched the event and i was hooked, i've been watching UFC since 76.
My fighters that have caught my attention for one reason or another.
GSP, his performance against Hughes was just beastly.
Forrest Griffin, showed a lot of hard overcoming Shogun.
Jon Fitch, Diego Sanchez really came off as a jerk to me on their prematch so seeing Fitch handle him was great.
Nakamura, Flamboyant personality, looked like a fun guy, too bad Lyoto made him look like a fool, wasnt he high or something?
Lyoto Machida, I didn't dig him too much after the Nakamura fight, but the Soko fight made me a fan.
Wandy, Tremendous fight against Lidell and since i dont like Lidell i was rooting for Wandy.
Anderson Silva, I didn't like the guy but he's a Tremendous fighter, he's a guy i want to see beat.
Chuck Lidell, Another one of my antagonists, respect for his fighting ability but the Iceman is my top 1 bad guy in the UFC.
I hope to have a good time here, and i expect to have long and intelligent discussions with many of the members as i learn more about the sport. I hope i don't meet a lot of guys with a clear prowrestling bias that give me a hard time.
Also i see that Lesnar is trying his hand at MMA, i hope he does well, but this aren't staged fights so i hope he's training hard on his striking and submission defense otherwise he will make a fool of himself.
