wow sorry i just locked myself out of this fourm for a sec, i cant get the notification to my email turned off, and i did it the way ur suppsoed to using the userCP, ohh well

anyways man, the army has a good welding program, and if ur cert, u can pretty much test out of training pending the school requirements, i did some arc welding on the border of mexico and the us, it was some fun stuff

dont sweat the highjack, its cool, as long as a good guy gets in isnt a shitbag like most people they let in these days, if ive helped change a life for the better, its all worth it

to bad u didnt join when u where 17 like i did

and do what scarecrow said, check around to units that are on the chopping block to leave soon, and get into one of those if u want to go, if not get into a unit that just got back, not saying u wont get selected to go still, but less of a chance, and u dont have to be that specific job to deploy either, im a radio guy with a truck company working as a prision guard, go figure

well kids i gota get to bed, its zero dark 30 here and i gota be up at 5 to run and then go stare at terrorists all day, so ill check back when i get up

ok now that i feel like stabbing my eyes out for wasting my time reading all the bullshit on here about what i was looking for, i will ask because i cant find the answer

what kind of workout cycle should i be on

in the army we are always doing

running
bodyweight workouts
running
bodyweight workouts

alternating days

but should i run everyday and workout everyday?
when should my rest days be?
i have fridays off work and plan on making that my rest day

the helpful thing i did read was listen to my body, and that i will but what kind of cycle should i do?

crow help me out on this one man

i also plan on taking the hand to hand and jitsu classes they offer here

HELP DAMNIT!

im not into taking all those damn suppliments either, just eat healthy and workout

i dont wanna gain bulk or anything, just be lean and fit

i plan on doing sandbag training and bodyweight training with alot of cardio

im ******* lost is what im saying

You'd probably get more help if you post that in the training section then in here.

Nasty, send me a PM with your email address and I'll send you a Special Forces fitness handbook. It has about everything you could be looking for, from nutrition, to stretching and exercises.

Now during your daily PT over there, are you doing it on your own or are you doing organized stuff with your unit?

The Ranger tab as on his cap? If so, yea that's authorized. There are certain uniform regulations that Ranger and SF units have that the rest of the Army do not.

Anyways, I would recommend that you do not run every day. You want a day of rest between each running day to give your knees a rest. You also don't want to do your upper or lower body workouts on back to back days as you're not going to give your muscles any rest period. I know the military wants you to work out every day, so you'll just have to try out different things, just remember not to do the same stuff every day or your body will not have a chance to repair itself and you will likely either have stagnant PT Test results, or you will see your performance decline.

If all you really want to do is max out your PT score, then do this small workout every day.

Pushups - 3 sets, 60 seconds each max reps possible.
Situps - 3 sets, 60 seconds each max reps possible.
Running - 10 minute run, sprint max speed for 30 seconds, slow jog for 30 seconds. Alternate your sprinting and jogging until the 10 minutes are up.

This short workout is enough to shock your muscles but not enough to break them down so much that you wouldn't be able to recover the next day. I did this for a few months and got my PT score up to about a 340. Was doing around 80 pushups, 90 situps, and my run was around 12:30.
