yea I was looking at that earlier.. kinda funny actualy if you think about it.. though we have hundreds of member who have not yet posted to this thread... Hmmm idea.. I am stickying it Is stickying a word even? ahh who cares gonna do it anyway,
I believe it was meant to unnerve the male demographic
I've always loved sports, I'm there with the guys watching UFC or boxing, football, whatever. Rather that than some poncey romcom or whatever. I am very girlie in myself like appearance wise and stuff, but who wouldn't want to watch combat sports? Give me a cage fight over some soap opera any day.
Well, I see that without a doubt I am the oldest member here. I'll be fifty this November. I still train Chukido Kwan Combat Hapikido under Grandmaster Chuck Platten 3 times a week and Chito Ryu Karate under Sensei Willy Lau once a week.
Chukido Kwan is a mixture of traditional Hapkido and Chinese Kempo that Grandmaster Chuck put together combining all of knowledge that he has accumulated over his 40+ years in martial arts. It is without a doubt the most practical martial arts style that I have ever seen - we use a lot of joint locks, throws, kicks, take downs, finishing techniques and Jiu Jitsu grappling techniques.
BTW Grandmaster Chuck is a founding director of World Blackbelt Canada and is listed in the Who's Who in the Martial Arts by Bob Wall.
