Do you know if any of the ladies here are MMA fighters, better yet, men and women?

Well, ya'll should already know this next question. Lol....can any of you guys give me advice on how to get a start in MMA, stuff like finding a good trainer, a good mma gym, and networking with the right people?....I really want to do this and hopefully gain a sucessful career in MMA, I really have a strong passion for this sport as well as competing, I just love to fight and I guess I can say wrestling in high school wasnt enough for me ya kno. I wanna do something more. Lol..so if anyone could give me some good advice, I'd very well appreciate it

well you have already started on the networking part by being on sites like this. As for finding a training place if you are in GA it will all depend on what part your in.. there are a few good schools in the Atlanta area.. Just remember not all schools will openly welcome a girl and you may have to work twice as hard to prove yourself. if you have a good work ethic and do what your told you will be welcomed faster.

Well yeah true about the networking thing. Lol.....Well I live pretty close to Atlanta, I think the best gym I have heard a lot about in my area, which is Douglasville, Ga, would be the Knuckle Up Gym. Have you ever heard of that Gym? Yeah, i'm pretty much aware of that. Lol.. I had to endure and overcome some prejudice being the only girl on the wrestling team. But I proved myself to them, showing my excellent work ethic, hardwork, and some wins and medals under the belt lol

Well congrats.. to bad your not closer to Nashville.. my instructor is trying to get a female program started.. and of the top of my head no.. Check them out see if they will let you do a couple of trial lessons most good schools will let you try a few days to a week of lessons to see if you fit in.. .. my instructor does that..

well sadly most MMA schools nowadays claim just those two styles.. It is always nice to find one that has other skills to offer as well.. My school offers Sambo as well as a top notch boxing instructor and wrestling coach.
