Hello, Everyone!

Hey! What's up? I've been just viewing the boards for a little while and decided i'd join up. I've practiced different martial arts before but after some serious issues i've decided I just need to get back into shape so i'm gunna get a diet on and hit the gym and then get back into everything. By the way im 17 5'9 171 lbs and outta shape..

P.S: anyone here train in Regina, Saskatchewan, Canada?

Nothin but whats up with you..? What would everyone recommend starting the MMA's with? Boxing or Karate something for striking or ground work? I have previous training in some martial arts but I don't know how useful they would be. I did judo for a year or so as a kid. Wrestling a couple years back, Kenpo Karate for about 2 years a couple years ago and last year I was boxing. I'm out of shape now and I think i'm just gunna get my diet and cardio/weights in check then once i'm a little more comfortable get back into fighting. Just looking for recomendations on what to "restart" with?

Ground game is key, most fighters nowadays rely on wrestling/grappling because of the weak standup they have. Work your standup real hardcore but ground game should be worked a little more. Most people are scared to stand toe to toe.
