straight from sherdog to here.
not to mention dabbled in a few forums here and there in the last day or two. wow. sherdog seems to have the best OFF-TOPIC forum that appears to be on the web. sherdog being my first of course, because i like mma, and i train bjj. i spent quite a while there shooting the ball around with people across the globe on hip hop (music in general), politics, life experiences, job work, all kinds of funny stuff.
i ended up getting teh bant. but this place doesn't look too shabby.. anyone from sherdog have any contrast experience with this place? and yes i know. their 'heavies' section is not filled with the brightest and/or best, but i'd love to hear what this place is all about.

well... lets just say that posting drunk became somewhat of a hobby... somebody made a porn thread and i thought it was hilarious. i was laughing pretty hard, i think something i posted encouraged the porn. so they banned me. date to be lifted... never : (
if this place is half the forum that place was i figure i'll enjoy myself quite nicely here. i don't think i'll have to worry about being banned here. people seem to have things wrapped pretty tight in here, but that's at first glance. how's the off topic discussion in this place?

Our staff is pretty active, so any off-topic and nonsense gets dealt with ASAP.
I wouldn't recommend drunk-posting here though, that's for sure.

Yeah the staff here is very quick to react and take charge of trolls and trouble makers. Overall this is by far the best MMA forum out there and puts Sherdog to shame in almost every way. The staff rocks and overall its a great community.

Hey, I drunk-post here all the time As long as you are basically courteous though no one should have any problems here.

i've taken a small amount of notes on this sites off-topic discussion and it seems quite marginalized. as in it doesn't seem like many people bother with anything other than straight mma on this site. not that there's anything wrong with that, just that most of my time on sherdog went to off-topic discussion. it was really a great forum if you disregard all the illogical freaks, trolls, and what not.
there are spaces on that site for people to discuss everything form religion, to music, to.. well.. anything really, if it's in the right context. i feel that that site did well in flushing out all the really really freaky internet people but still allowing a smorgasbord of intellectual conversation. i'm just curious as to whether this site offers that kind of flexibility.

The biggest difference, aside from the people, is that you can't talk politics or religion here. I've been begging for a political forum, but they won't do it.
