ShouBox has a little shameless behaviour in the past
New to MMA

Hello, just the other day I had a fight with my friend and noticed that my 6 month TKD training wasn't nearly enough for me to deal with the situation confidently. And that a more well rounded martial arts would have given me more choices and less risk of injury for the both of us. I understand that the problem should/could have been solved while the verbal was going on. But I want to train in a more effective MA in case I make the social mistake again.

And so... I'm planning to quit TKD and begin MMA. I hope to learn many things from here. Thank you for reading.

Oh yea, I'm looking for a gym in Ottawa. So if anyone has any suggestions or tips on looking for a good gym please tell me.

I been in TKD for about the same time you have and im only at orange belt. Im sure it takes a lot more time and training until you feel more confident in situations like that. Either way best of luck to you and welcome to the forums

yeah man i started off with just jiu jitsu and now im doing mma and i can tell you right now its helped me so much. im more better conditioned then i was and im a better fighter in general. mma is where its at bro go for it and good luck man!

Welcome I have taken TKD in the past. It's a good style and you can get some great kicks out of it. I know when I made the switch to kick boxing then krav maga they said I had some of the hardest kicks the ever felt when the were holding a shield for me during drills. You could keep doing it but you have to have something supplement it like wrestling BJJ some basic boxing.
