Yeah, may Dream rest in peace. And with it may major Japanese fight cards rest in peace. Maybe a start up Japanese promotion will pop up sometime.

I'm surprised it took this long for it to happen. I wanted Dream to succeed but unfortunately they didn't have that mass appeal Pride or the UFC was able to generate. Sad.

It is definately sad, but it happened. So now all the fighters are headed to other promotions. I doubt any upstart promotions will come out of this one.

Dont really care. Pride was 10x the promotion Dream could ever hope to be.

Pride was ten times the promotion that any MMA promotion hopes to be. The modern UFC still doesn't compare to all of the showmanship. Sure they have some good matches but otherwise things can get stale, believe me I've been to a UFC event, I know!

Well thats a matter of opinion. Even though i like and respect Pride alot. I would chose the UFC over Pride any day of the week. Quiet frankly i think the better athletes are in the UFC. We saw what happened to Pride fighters when they came in to the UFC. Not many of them have had success and the ones that did had to figure it out and switch their training regiment to match that of todays UFC athletes.
BUT
If were going by straight exciting fights. Pride wins by a few margins. It was alot less of a sport and more of a fight. Im not sure if in the UFC fights can even get as exciting as some were in pride due to the limitations of rules.

I would love to see Shinya Aoki come to UFC or one of the American organizations like Bellator. Shame that this is happening to Japan where so much history of MMA was built... Time to build MMA organizations like UFC in South Korea.
Chan Sung Jung said in a post fight press conference that there are fighters in Korea that no one here has heard of that are much better than him. Also said that the traveling, jet lag, time difference, food difference, displacement is a huge difficulty when coming to fight in the US.

Well what is even more sad is that MMA has been around since long before the big promotions. Antonio Inoki was holding shoot fights that resemble early MMA back in the 70s. I think Aoki is heading to OneFC now though.
