There are very few names that I've heard of on this card before and even fewer big namers.

Yes, there are were some good names on the card. VTJ has a strong tradition. A lot of big names in the past. Even Rickson Gracie has fought for them. It's nice to see the tradition alive.

As far as this card goes, we could see Montague in the UFC soon. I was hoping to see Mamoru get the win, but it was a good, close fight. Sato needs to retire. Tokoro isn't much of a KO artist, and he beat Sato easily.

Results:

-Hideo Tokoro defeated Rumina Sato via TKO (Punches) – R1, 0:39
-Kuniyoshi Hironaka defeated Carlo Prater via Unanimous Decision
-Darrell Montague defeated Mamoru Yamaguchi via Split Decision
-Kyoji Horiguchi defeated Ian Loveland via Unanimous Decision
-Megumi Fujii defeated “V.V” Mei Yamaguchi via Unanimous Decision
-Kenji Osawa defeated “Lion” Takeshi Inoue via Unanimous Decision
-Keita Nakamura defeated Nobutatsu Suzuki via Submission (Choke Sleeper) – R1, 2:09
-Daisuke Hoshino defeated Kuntap Weerasakreck via Submission (Armbar) – R1, 2:19

Anyone who knows their Japansese MMA would say that's a lineup awesome veterans and legends. Sad to see Megumi Fujii retire, but great to see her go out on a win after getting messed about by the judges in Bellator.

Yeah I'm not sure she really lost that fight either. It's unfortunate that's the only blemish on her career. Regardless Zoila earned that title but really should defend it soon, Bellator needs to get their act together.

Fuji was robbed twice in Bellator, two blemishes on her record that shouldn't be the in my opinion. Zoila got choked out like 2 weeks ago, sure she'll be itching to defend that belt soon. She'd just had over a year out.

But Megumi Fujii and Tokoro stole that show, Sato needs to think about maybe calling it a day now. That was brutal!

Hasn't Vale Tudo Japan been around since before the Unified Rules? I'd think they'd use the Pride rules or something similar.

You'd think so, but with the Unified Rules looks like they're embracing the western way.
