Location: Uncasville, Conn
Venue: Mohegan Sun Arena
Fight Card:
Wagnney Fabiano vs. Chris Horodecki (Lightweight Title)
Delson Heleno vs. Jay Hieron (Welterweight Title)
Benji Radach vs. Matt Horwich (Middleweight Title)
Antoine Jaoude vs. Roy Nelson (Heavyweight Title)
I'm real hung up on the Hordecki vs Wagnney fight because I think Wagnney is the best MMA prospect in the IFL. But I think Hordecki seems to get every decision and break in the IFL so I still haven't decided.
I think Heleno will beat Hieron in a real fun UD.
Radach is going to trashes Horwich
I'll go with Roy Nelson at HW but honestly none of them can beat Ben Rothwell so whats the point just give Rothwell the title.

Rothwell was in the title picture but he has no contract obligations for 2008, so they don't want to put a title on him.

I think Wagnney's incredible ground game and experience will be the key's to win. Horodecki could possibly squeak out a decision, but Wagnney will look to end things, and Horo's ground game, while promising, needs to be tested by someone who can really bring the jitz.
Also, I agree, Hieron vs Heleno will rule. Hieron likes to put on a good show, and rarely, if ever, brings the boring. He's the anti-McKee.

I know but does anyone buy that whoever wins the title is the real champion. Everyone knows Rothwell is the best HW in the IFL and when he beats Ricco he kind of established himself as a top 15 HW. The first IFL HW champion is really going to be a false champ. I mean Vladamir didn't face the top fighters at LHW because they all got hurt but at least an arguement can be made he is there best 205'er. Nelson and Jaoude are in no way the top 205+ fighters in the IFL.

This is where I'm stuck because I think on the ground Wagnney will give Hordecki a lot of trouble but I don't think he will tap him in 12 min. Also Hordecki will pick up points in the stand up most likely which would make it a somewhat close fight. And in the IFL Close fight goes to Hordecki.
But the more I think about it the more I want to pick Wagnney by submission. I mean Hordecki hasn't faced a guy as good on the ground as Wagnney and he could very well catch him in something.
For Know I going Wagnney over Hordecki (2nd rd sub).
Hieron and Heleno both always bring it which is why I'm so exicted for that fight. But I do wish Rory Markham would've been healthy and in the GP because Hieron, Heleno, Markham and Ray would've been real fun to watch.
perhaps i don't know enough about the IFL, but it looks like Horodecki is up against Schultz now. I've got Horodecki in that one, anyone disagree that may know better?
