Sergei was billed as the guy to beat Fedor until Nogueira took him out in the hw grand prix. He's an awesome fighter on his game. Alexs and Overeem are the two mishaps on his career, besides that he's been impressive.
Kharitonov also has the power of Sambo and being a Russian parachute jumper in the army or something. Been working his standup at Golden Glory as well.

Kongo, Gonzo, Mir? Cmon, Sergei is way better than those guys, plus he's beaten more name guys than any of them.
Anywho, why is there so many freakin rumors with Mirko? I thought he was set to fight Choi? Ah well, Sergei's even better and a much better step towards a comeback.
But I don't see him winning. |

I think Crocop will fair better against Sergei than he would against Choi TBH.

It's kind of scrappy, Kharitanov gets a nice throw from a standing Kimura attempt though Overeem scrambles back up. Everything is kind of meh (Overeem with some decent legkicks and rights and Sergei with some decent counters) until Overeem throws a front kick that misses and Kharitanov just starts cracking him, Overeem looks like he may comeback with some decent knees. One of which is clean to Sergei's head (he just shakes his head and is like "yeah whatever" lol), then Overeem gasses and Sergei hammers him. Overeem was running away at then end. . .
I swear I saw Overeem look at the clock at like 2mins15 into the round. *sigh*
