Cro Cop fighting Sergei in June?

The article is in Croatian and I will summerize it. Article states that CC was supposed to fight Sergei at Dream 1 but CC declined the fight stating that would be too tough of a match for him after a six month break. Now they moved the fight to Dream 4 which will take place in mid-june and it will apparantly be made official in about a month possibly on April 29th which is Dream 2. That is when Dream is supposed to announce the fight. In one of Mirko's quotes he said " I am not approaching these fights in Dream as practice for UFC comeback instead I am treating every fight seriously." I think CC vs. Sergei would be a great fight. Sergei is without a doubt one of the top heavyweights in the world.

Sergei is a top HW?

I mean dude has done nothing but beat Overeem lately.

He's a step up for Cro Cop but he's not top 15.

uh...i'd say he's top 15..or at least very damn close to top 15...he's beaten rizzo, werdum, schilt, overeem....he's had his troubles, but he's a tough Mofo

When motivated, Sergei is as tough of a HW as you can find. He seems to be at his best against strikers as well, not a good matchup for CroCop IMO. This should be a great fight though.

I think Sergei is definately top 15.

I also think he will beat Crocop.

Fedor, Couture, Nogueira, Barnett, Arlovski, Sylvia, Werdum, Gonzaga, Aleks E., Herring, Kongo, Mir, Rothwell, Cro Cop, Vera

I would put all of them ahead of Sergei right now. Now back before he lost to Overeem, and Aleks E. he was a top 10 HW but right now I would put all those guys ahead of him.

I for one think Sergei is a huge threat. So what if he isn't ranked high, he is a dangerous dude. Damone will be all over this news

Oooh, I like this fight, and I think Sergei will take it as he has solid stand-up, has a solid chin and likes to press the action.

Sergei's pretty damn solid when he's at the top of his game and not being a stupid ass.

This fight is gonna be fkin sweet. I expect plenty of body shots, which I love. :thumbsup:

And who the hell has Monson beat besides Fujita, or even Big foot besides a washed up Ricco? or Vera? or even Mir for crying out loud? How about Herring (besides a split to Kongo)?

Sergei has only been beaten by 4 people, and he has avenged one of those loses. All 4 of those fighters were top of the heap fighters....
