Damn, I'm having trouble deciding on...
Kang vs Mousasi.
Kang hasn't looked so great lately, but Gegard has been putting on some really good performances, with a 7-fight win streak. My brain says Mousasi, but my gut says Kang! Who are you guys picking, and why? |
This is definetly a step up in competition for Mousasi, very interested in this fight - if I had to pick then i'd pick Kang based on who they've fought but I wouldn't be suprised with a Mousasi KO.

Same for me F>A! They're both highly skilled and well-rounded, but I think Kang takes this one due to his experience against top competition. From his recent interviews, it sounds like he's taking this fight very seriously which means a dangerous Kang. Cool avatar btw.

i'm taking gegard because i believe he's a little better on the ground and hes definitely no slouch on the feet. kang just got KO'd pretty bad by akiyama so maybe that'll play a part in him wanting to trade.
the betting lines are good on gegard btw, if someone wants to risk making some cash |
Thanks for your opinions guys! This could definitely be fight of the night. Gegard is really good standing, and his ground game has improved a lot. I'd give Kang the experience and ground advantage, but I think if Akiyama gave Denis problems standing, Gegard could knock him out for sure.
After thinking it over, I think Kang will play it safe and win a decision, but I would not be shocked if Gegard pulled off the win via stoppage. Should be a great scrap. |
Wow, did not expect that ending at all. :confused03:

Wow, Kang looked bad. Mousasi isn't even that great on the ground, and it seemed like Kang just wanted him to triangle him.
|
where are you guys watching this ?

He looked quite good for the majority of the fight, nice 1-2 then a takedown, then a nice sub attempt. But followed by one of the dumbest things I've ever seen him do, in basically triangling himself, jesus. He was looking good for 90% of the short fight, but for that other 10% bad is an understatement, that was horrific. |
I don't know, but Kang, a solid BJJ guy, shouldn't be caught by bangers. Sure, you can get caught by a rapid sub, but this was not a rapid sub; Kang could've gotten out of it. I don't know, just weird. If he were caught and KO'ed, I wouldn't really mind. I mean, yeah, he got caught, fighters get caught, it happens. But to not get out of an obvious triangle attempt by a guy with little ground skills, wow.
