Speaking of Akiyama, anyone else mark out when Akiyama sipped that apple juice box? He was probably thinking about punching old women or something while doing it.

Akiyama should just go after Misaki, kill him, leave the Japanese fans, and come join the UFC.

Akiyama has the perfect opportunity to become a true heel in the sport. There is actual hatred toward the man by an entire nation. He needs to seize this opportunity and run with it. It would be so awesome if he actually pursued the heel persona and pushed it. He can start off small, maybe spit on a guy after winning a fight or talk crap about fighters in the pre and post fight interviews. The best part is that he's a great fighter so every win he would get (especially over liked opponents) would just eat away at the fans. They would of course pay to see him again in hopes someone would come along and beat him up but good, then he could just crush their souls by winning.

I thought Denis looked great in that fight, up until he dove into a triangle. If we want to talk about a bad performance, we'd have to bring up JZ's.. that was abysmal.

Denis looked horrid, he lagged on that Kimura for two minutes and literally begged Gegard to sub him.
JZ looked great but he had no answer to Aoki's awesome gameplan. Atleast JZ tried his best to crush Aoki's skull every chance he got and escaped that beautiful omaplatte > armbar perfectly. |

Akiyama is really too respectful and classy for that role.
